Types of information EECA collects through the Web Sites

Cookies

EECA uses cookies on all the Web Sites to automatically collect information about how visitors behave when navigating on the Web Sites. By using the Web Sites, you consent to the use of cookies.

For more information on what cookies are, how cookies are used, how third-parties (that EECA may partner with) may use cookies on the Web Site, what visitors can do about cookies – including enabling, disabling, or deleting them – and further information about cookies, please find the EECA Cookies Policy below.

Personal information

Personal information (or personal data) means information which identifies you as an individual, or from which your identity can be reasonably ascertained. Examples of personal information include someone’s name and surname, home address, e-mail address (such as name.surname@company.com), identification card number, location data, Internet Protocol (IP) address, etc.

EECA does not collect all these types of personal information, but rather limits itself to name and surname, e-mail address, and company affiliation.

WSTS subscription

Through its dependant ESIA, EECA has an exclusive license agreement with the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organisation under which it provides industry-wide semiconductor trade data to subscribers. In order to provide such subscription services, it is necessary to collect personal information on the natural person representing an organisation on whose behalf the subscription is made (“the WSTS subscriber”).

For the purpose of subscribing to WSTS data, WSTS subscribers are requested to provide name and surname, e-mail address, and workplace contact details, as well as additional information not relating to natural persons to facilitate the WSTS data release.

The subscription form allows WSTS subscribers to indicate up to four additional contact persons (including name, surname and e-mail address) for the notification of WSTS data releases. In supplying personal information of additional contact persons, the WSTS subscriber confirms having used due diligence in acquiring the consent of the respective natural persons beforehand.

For more information on the subscription services, please read the Terms and Conditions.

Registration pages

ESIA / EECA is a charter member of the World Semiconductor Council (WSC), an international forum addressing issues of global concern to the semiconductor industry. In the context of the WSC, representatives convene three times per year, organised in turns by WSC member associations.

For the purpose of organising these meetings, it is necessary to collect personal information on the WSC meetings’ participants. To this end, temporary registration pages may be created, such as https://jstc.eusemiconductors.eu, to facilitate the organisation of and registration to WSC meetings.

Personal information collected on these registration pages includes name and surname, e-mail address, and workplace contact details, as well as additional information not relating to natural persons to enable registration.
